Come to think of it, I have been pretty much ‘Burnie bound’ throughout winter – there hasn’t been much variety to my photography lately.
……… things will get interesting hopefully, as I am heading to ACT and Queensland for a total of 9 days. Leaving next Tuesday.
Will bring along my ‘internet stick’ so should be able to post little updates here and there.

Stanley is a town on the North-West coast of Tasmania with a population of approx. 500.
It is mainly a tourist destination and also one of the main fishing port on the North-West coast of Tasmania – mostly crayfish and some octopus.

Blowhole, Bicheno, Tasmania.

Bicheno is a town on the east coast of Tasmania. The town is primarily a fishing port and also a seaside resort.
It is definitely worth a nights stay. A town with beautiful seaside and not to mention the little penguin colony on adjacent Diamond Island (you can make your way across on foot during low tide) and of course… the blowhole.

Burnie is a port city on the north-west coast of Tasmania.
Burnie Port is Tasmania’s largest general cargo port and Australia’s fifth largest container port. It is the nearest Tasmanian port to Melbourne.

Table Cape is in the Waratah-Wynyard municipality in North West Tasmania, a short drive away from the coastal township of Wynyard. Geologically speaking, it is a large volcanic plug. Most of the area is used for farming and rural residential use.
