I rarely shoot close ups nowadays as i much prefer to see the bigger (wider) side of things. It is for this same reason that my telephoto lens (Nikon 100/2.8 E) sees very little use these days.

When i started getting serious about photography, the aim was to get lenses that can cover from the widest to the longest.
Well, how was i to know – i was still too green to have my picks and preferences. Now that i’ve been doing this for more than a year, i can say for certain that i prefer to see the bigger (wider) side of things – focal lengths 28, 35 & 50mm is home territory for me

P.S. will talk about super-wides (sub 28mm) in the near future.

……. and of course the latte =D

On a side note, i have exams (hate!!!) coming in a few weeks time!! So updates might be a bit erratic and less frequent.
Also, i am very very close to developing my own negatives. After much consideration and deliberation, i’ve settled on Kodak Tri-X and D76 as my film and developer combination. How exciting!! Should be able to ‘soup’ my first test roll after the bloody exam.

Image was taken a few weeks ago when Tasmania was experiencing one of it’s wettest month. The Macquarie river was so engorged!!
It was raining (no surprises) on that particular day and so i had to use my notebook to shield my camera from the rain (as you can see on the top part of the picture)

The first recorded use of olive drab as a color name in English was in 1892. [10]
