Rails and Review

Rails and Review - Leica M2, 35mm Color Skopar, f2.5, Kodak BW400CN

Testing the bokeh of my Cosina Voigtlander 35mm f/2.5 Color Skopar Classic and a brief review.
Image was shot at f2.5 a.k.a wide open, close to the minimum focus distance with Kodak BW400CN.

Impressions:
- Great corner to corner sharpness with minimal light fall off and perhaps a slight vignette (which i dig).
- Moderate contrast.
- Good bokeh with a nice and smooth in-focus to out-focus transition. Maybe a bit harsh – see top left and right of picture – but not enough to bug me.
-  Surprisingly deep depth of field for f2.5.

* the above review is drawn from my personal experience and the testing is neither comprehensive nor scientific. So just take what you can from it………
