On Photography: Film

It has been a great month with films.
Perhaps technically, the pictures are inferior compared to my digital captures. However………

I like the ‘look’ of film
I like the mood it imparts – Timeless
I like the many choices i have with films
I like its unpredictability
I like the simplicity of film cameras
I like the tactile interface with analog photography
I like not having to spend too much time on the computer

I have more fun with film.
So for now……..

 


I sold my Nikon D700.
…….though i am sure i’ll end up with another digital camera sometime in the future but till then,

lets keep the ’1 hour’ developers busy !!!

peter sinclair - Hi Ferraby,
The D700 you refer to on your web site has just arrived and I have taken a couple of shots with an old 1.4 50mm….very sharp and resolves well in low light too.

I share your thoughts on film and it’s feel.and particularly time @ the computer but love the way I can delete the dross with digital and not clutter cupboards and drawers with negs and prints.

Thanks for your help re. insurance and the prompt delivery in ebay jargon.
